Attorneys
The Attorney General's Office has a number of opportunities available for practicing attorneys and law students to provide valuable contributions to the legal profession.
On a daily basis, our attorneys confront some of the most interesting and important questions facing the legal community and the citizens of the State of Missouri.
In 2007, for example, the Attorney General's Office litigated roughly one quarter of all cases deemed "Most Important Opinions" by Missouri Lawyers Weekly - more than any other firm in Missouri.* Recent cases have run the gamut from questions regarding language for ballot measures, voter identification, and the sex offender registry, to environmental actions such as our fight to save the Katy Trail and our efforts to protect citizens in the aftermath of a Taum Sauk reservoir failure. The work we do is cutting edge and vital to the interests of Missourians.
But just as important as the type of work we do, is the way in which we do it - with respect for the legal process, the public, and one another. The Attorney General's Office prides itself on providing a professional, family-friendly work environment to all its employees.
